Red Kite with
orange wingtag and black code 710:
I ringed and
marked this bird in the nest at 18th June 2008 near Wiegendorf/ Kreis Weimarer
Land / Thuringia / Germany. The ring-number is: Germany / Hiddensee /
EA154130. It was the oldest of two siblings in this nest. The nest-tree was an
ash.
There are 10
sightings of this bird after leaving the birthplace: in winter at the Basurero de Nájera (3.2.2011, 10.2.2011,
3.10.2011, 15.2.2012) reportet from Jesús Serradilla Rodríguez (jserradillar@hotmail.com)
In the breeding
aerea:
2010 unsuccessful
breeding attempt near Kötschau /
Kreis Weimarer Land / Thuringia / Germany
2011 unsuccessful breeding attempt near
Oßmannstedt / Kreis Weimarer Land / Thuringia /
Germany
2012 unsuccessful breeding attempt near
Oßmannstedt (another nest than in 2011)/ Kreis Weimarer Land / Thuringia / Germany
2014 unsuccessful breeding attempt near
Pfiffelbach / Kreis Weimarer Land / Thuringia /
Germany
May be this Kite
didn’t breed in 2013 because in this year were very bad conditions for Red
Kites: long winter, many rain and no mouses.
